![]() My PC runs an Intel Core i7 4770k, EVGA Geforce GTX 1080, 32GB DDR3 (does this matter?), and Windows 10 ![]() Where can I briefly read what each one does and how it affects gaming performance so I can pick which one is right for me with not just Dolphin but other PC games I come across that offer these choices? I feel like Direct3D 12 should be my go to choice for all games but I want to make an educated decision on this. I remember Vulkan being a new thing too to compete with Windows own Direct3D and to make it compatible across all PC OSes. For anyone playing on a Windows PC it seems like it should be the default choice to go to when deciding between OpenGL and Direct3D, although there are some exceptions with compatibility. When I was playing on 5.0 I remember Direct3D12 being such a huge boost in performance for a number of games that it seemed like a no brainer to choose from. ![]() It is such a night and day difference seeing all the latest and greatest QoL changes made since the initial 5.0 update from 4 years ago.īefore going forward with it I noticed there is a number of new options for me in regards to backends to choose from. ![]()
